CatchPapers privacy notice

Last updated: August 1, 2026

What we store

For signed-in users, CatchPapers stores the account email managed by Supabase, research interests, excluded keywords, selected journal IDs, saved-paper IDs, alert settings, and a record of papers already emailed. This information is used to synchronize the service and send personalized alerts.

What stays on your device

CV files and extracted CV text are processed and retained only in your browser. CatchPapers does not upload them to its database. Clearing browser storage removes that local copy.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication and data storage, Resend delivers requested email alerts, GitHub Pages hosts the website, and Google Analytics receives usage events plus standard device and approximate-location data. CatchPapers does not send emails, CV text, research interests, passwords, paper titles, or journal selections to Google Analytics.

Your choices

You can pause email alerts, unsubscribe from any alert email, or permanently delete your account and associated CatchPapers data from the account panel. You may use the paper feed without an account.
